Kazakhstan's former high profile official Bergey Ryskaliyev and his brother ex-deputy Amanzhan Ryskali, both on the wanted list in Kazakhstan, were recently spotted in Zuma restaurant at Raphael Street, 5 in London (next to Knightsbridge subway station), a source who asked not to be named and introduced himself as a regular reader told Forbes Kazakhstan on the telephone. Japanese restaurant Zuma opened in the British capital in 2002. It is currently called London's best place for Japanese banquets. The brothers disappeared after Bergey Ryskaliyev was released from his position of Atyrau oblast Akim (Governor) in the middle of August. Kazakhstan media wrote that the former Akim fled Kazakhstan crossing Kazakhstan-Russian border via Aktobe oblast by bus. Sources in law-enforcement authorities said that Ryskaliyev most probably fled to London. This statement is supported by the fact that, according to several media outlets, his family has long been living in London. As for Amanzhan Ryskali, the court issued an arrest warrant against him on October 1. He is accused of fraud. Later Kazakhstan's financial police added him onto the wanted list. Meanwhile, there is no official information on location of Bergey Ryskaliyev and his brother.
